Behind the Lens

Hey there, my name is Jaime Casal. I'm currently residing in the Portland, OR area but Alaska will always be home. One of the things I love the most about photography is how many different ways you can portray the same subject. I love letting my mind go and express my views through the lens in my own way; not only to express what I see, but what I feel. A single photograph can tell many stories and it's so inspiring working with different individuals to tell theirs.

I don't prefer to focus on just one type of photography, there is just too much fun to be had in different varieties of photography. This allows allows me to be creative in more ways crossing from one style to another.

Motivate

Outside of photography I keep myself busy with many other activities as well. If I'm not out shooting or editing images you can find me outside rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and surfing. Everyone needs some downtime as well, for those moments you can't go wrong with some beach time, yoga, practicing guitar, or watching movies on the couch.

That's a little about me, please reach out if you'd like to setup a shoot or collaborate on a fun idea.
